The Garden of Eden
The story of the Garden of Eden is one of the most exceptional stories in the Bible.
After a perfect creation, after all the beautiful descriptions of what happened day after day, we get to the Garden of Eden.
Adam and Eve were only in the garden for a short period of time. They ate for the Tree of Knowledge, and their eyes were suddenly opened.
What does this really mean? How are we to understand the Biblical words, “Vatipakachnah eyney shneyhem“?
When God comes to Adam and Eve after they’ve eaten from the Tree of Knowledge, He starts the conversation with them with the words, “Where art thou?” In Hebrew – ayeka.
This word is in fact made up of two Hebrew words – what are they?
