The Yanshuf Newspaper is the “big brother” of our beginner’s level newspaper Bereshit. Yanshuf is also a teaching newspaper, but it uses a much richer vocabulary.
Yanshuf is intended for those who want to improve their Hebrew language skills, but already have a decent grasp of Hebrew.
This newspaper contains articles about current events, social interests, culture, science, traditions, and much more. When you read Yanshuf, you will not only learn lots of Hebrew, but you will also enrich your knowledge of Israel and the world.
After you have mastered the lexicon of Yanshuf, and you can read the paper without needing the Hebrew-English dictionary (included with each issue), you will even be able to read standard Israeli newspapers with relative ease.
True, the Yanshuf newspaper is written in a simpler Hebrew level. However, it is structured specifically for someone who is trying to improve their Hebrew, and wants to read a not too difficult newspaper.
There is audio available for each article. This way you can practice your Hebrew listening comprehension as well as proper pronunciation.
